The Purdue football team started the 2024 season with a 49-0 win over Indiana State at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Purdue had seven different players score in the game. Hudson Card threw for 273 yards (24 for 25) and set a record in the process.

Hudson Card was lights out, but he wasn't the only Boilermaker to make an impact. Devin Mockobee led the rushing attack with 11 carries for 89 yards while Max Klare was the team's leading receiver with 5 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Will Heldt and Antonio Stevens had 7 total tackles each for Purdue.

Purdue looked great in its first drive. The second drive was also impressive until the turnover.
Hudson Card has 144 yards passing (12 for 13). Max Klare leads the pass catchers with 4 receptions and 72 yards.

After forcing Indiana State to punt, Purdue moved the ball more than 50 yards. However on 3rd and 1, Hudson Card completed a 2-yard pass to Drew Biber, who fumbled. Indiana State jumped on it.
